Melody Bear - the story so far …

Melody Bear is the focal point of the Melody Movement Early Learning dance syllabus.  One day Jill Bridger, the creator of the concept, was rushing to class when she realised that there was no ‘show and tell’ item to use that day.  Jill quickly grabbed her son’s bear, Melody, who proved to be a huge success with the children. By popular demand she started to come to class on a daily basis and soon became a regular feature. Melody Bear had arrived!

Melody Bear’s steadfast determination to overcome any difficulty is an inspiration to young and old.  Now everyone can share in the heartwarming stories of the world’s best loved dancing teddy, Melody Bear.

Her stories inspire our dance and movement ideas and her exciting dance syllabus is now enjoyed by teachers and children across the UK and overseas.

You can visit Melody Bear at her own website.  Here you can read about her news, competitions and activities.

We like to feed the ducks with Melody Bear as we hop, skip and dance in her magical park. Sometimes Melody Bear tells us all about her visit to a farm, shop, library, beach or castle. She brings costumes, instruments and props to dance with. Melody Bear always has plenty of surprises!
