Melody Movement Teacher Training
Melody Movement Early Learning is a licensed teaching resource for professional dance teachers registered to recognised dance associations.  Teachers who are not members of the recognised dance associations but have a suitable background may apply to enrol as a pre-registered teacher and complete the MMEL distant learning programme.  Objectives of the programme are:

To gain an understanding of the Melody Bear concept and an in-depth knowledge of either the Little Bear Feet (LBF) syllabus or the Melody Movement Syllabus (trainee’s choice).

●
To confidently plan an age appropriate LBF or Melody Movement class.

●
To develop MMEL class plans to meet the needs of the growing child.

●
To gain a full understanding of the MMEL learning targets in relation to the pre-school child.

●
To gain a basic understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in relation to the Melody Movement syllabus.

●
Conduct Melody Bear classes showing a positive range of teaching skills such as use of voice, class management and physical demonstration.

●
Have the confidence to deliver a creative and imaginative dance class within the parameters of Melody Bear’s world to engage, excite and motivate the student.

●
Be able to self-evaluate classes delivered and recognise areas of self-improvement.

●
Prepare class policies, codes of practice, risk assessment and methods of record keeping suitable for running pre-school dance sessions.

●
Understand the benefits of the Melody Bear award schemes and successfully implement them within classes.

Melody Movement Early Learning (MMEL) Teacher Training Award for teachers wishing to teach Little Bear Feet and/or Melody Movement classes.
MMEL Associate Award for teachers teaching under the umbrella of a licensed Melody Movement Teacher
CPD Modules for licensed Melody Movement teachers wishing to refresh and enhance their teaching skills
